Idea's of Music for Our Film

Above are the idea's for our film. We plan to incorporate these by using a radio/cd player in the first scene.

Change in our plans!

So, today we had a discussion with Miss and have decided to change some of our film. We are KEEPING the footage that we shot at the Emirates and are going to include even more!!

Our old plot seemed a bit to complicated so we are going to make it bit more simple!

We need to re-film the footage on the field to make me seem like such a bad footballer. This will mean that the girl with the huge passion for her football team - Arsenal - is RUBBISH at football.

The plan now is to film again in the field and also do an sequence inside a kitchen.  This will help us make the film seem better than our previous idea.

INSPIRATION for our film

After deciding on what theme we wanted for our film back in September, we decided to do some research. Here is some of the inspiration.

Bend It Like Beckham.

Fever Pitch.

Overhead Train Filming

Finished Filming!

At the weekend, our group filmed the other half of our film down on location at the Emirates Stadium. We managed to shoot it all in under an hour which was quicker than we expected but was nice as we beat the big crowds but still managed to gain some of the atmosphere in the background.

There was an added bonus of meeting comedian Dara O'Briain and Ex-Footballer Peter Reid. I doubt they will be in our film but it was awesome to be able to capture it anyway!

One thing that could be included is seeing the Arsenal team bus pull into the stadium. As a joke before we got on the train, I mentioned that we may even be early enough so see them pull in but never believed it would come true - I must admit....I was acting like the biggest fangirl and was super happy!!

Storyboarding

Above are images of our storyboards for the 2 minute clip we are filming. So far we have got all the shots filmed so we just have to put it all together and hope for the best film possible!

We have decided the frames which will feature the flashbacks to the football in field and when the journey to the Emirates will be and at what stages it should progress through.

Vlog on our new idea....

Firstly, please excuse the different shots and angles the video has. This was shot on a phone before we realised that we needed to keep the phone a certain way!

I'm really looking forward to seeing how our film is produced and turns out but there is a lot more to do...

First Pitch for Us...

So, this is the first idea that we pitched to the class for our 2 minute film. However we wont be using this due to it seeming like a 2 minute film and not a little clip of a film with a story.  But no worries because we've talked and have got a new idea!!

Prelim Outtakes

A few giggles on the way to producing our prelim!

Our Prelim

This is the storyboard to our prelim. We used this in order to decide what we wanted to film and the shots we felt we would need.

My First VLOG!

Better late then never - here is my first vlog (or as I named it "my first blog" oops!)...

After filming this about 4 times before being happy with it....I've realised that "cool" is the word of the video!! Cool is what it is not.

One down, many more to come!

Prelim Task Research - Camera Angles

Before we take part and film our prelim task, I though it was best to look up the different types of camera angles that we will need to include…

1.       Match on Action Shot.

2.       180 Degree Rule.

3.       Shot/Reverse Shot.
Shot reverse shot (or shot/countershot) is a film technique where one character is shown looking at another character (often off-screen), and then the other character is shown looking back at the first character. Since the characters are shown facing in opposite directions, the viewer assumes that they are looking at each other.

First Go at Storyboards

In class, we watched a short clip of Series 3 Episode 1 of Luther. We then used the clip to start practing how to plan and construct storyboards that will help us later on in the course.

Favourite Actor (Female)

My favourite female actor has to be Sophia Bush. I first watched her in the TV series One Tree Hill  where she played "Brooke Davis" for more than 8 seasons and have loved her acting ever since. Sophia has also starred in John Tucker Must Die & Chalet Girl. Along with her acting talents, she does a lot of charity work which also is a contributor for why she is my favourite female actor overall.

Favourite Actor (Male)

My favourite male actor has to be Channing Tatum. The first film I watched that he starred in was Step Up. His other films include - 22 Jump Street, The Vow, Dear John and She's the Man among other great films. I love the way he protrays his characters and how dedicated he comes across to his roles.

Favourite Film...

There are so many films that I love to watch and right now I don't think I could choose a definite one.
Although "The Princess Diaries 2" has to be my all time favourite! This is my all time favourite as it was one of the first films that i remember watching when I was younger and it holds lots of memories for me!

Using the Mac

Today was my first Media lesson. Previous to this lesson, I had only used a mac once but today was the first time properly using the internet on it! Using blogger was also a new experience to me, and with all the shortcuts on the mac it made it alot easier for me to enter stuff into my blog!
